Cory
has a passion for cars; “Ever since my parents took me to my first race when I
was 3, I have been hooked”. Cory’s first truck was a 1978 Chevrolet LUV that he
built and learned of customizing cars over a 7 year period. Since then Cory has built custom trucks (until the STi) such as a
V-8 Chevy LUV, a supercharged 1993 Dodge Dakota, a 1999 Dakota R/T and then a
2002 Dodge Ram. Cory finally realized his dream of racing when he successfully
piloted a 125cc shifter kart on road courses from 1996 to 2001 in the Southwest
Road Racing Association.
“I
worked on fighter jets at night in the Marine Corps and I would climb into the
cockpits to work on the systems, hit the power switches, and be wrapped in a
sea of red instrumentation. When I researched purchasing the Subaru STi, the
red cluster was a big selling point. Sadly, the rest of the mint green lighting
was a major detraction and quite frankly, a major disappointment. What we have
tried to do with Interior Flair is first provide a first-class solution to an
obvious flaw in the STi and as demand has increased, designed and produced more
unique ideas and taken on more types of cars.”
“I
love getting into my STi at night, firing it up, and turning the lights and
audio system on. Suddenly I am wrapped in a warm blanket of red light,
taking me back to fighter jets.”
Interior Flair
Cory’s
idea for custom interior lighting formed in the Marine Corps and was realized
after purchasing his STi in 2005 and seeing the obvious demand. At first, Cory
researched the DIY forums, finding instructions on how to convert STi interior
lighting to red. However, he noticed quality and safety issues. Over the last 3
years Interior Flair has introduced innovations like Subaru clock, head unit,
passenger window switches, and STi cluster conversions.
With
nearly 30 years of engineering and manufacturing experience you can be sure your
conversion is the highest quality available. Interior Flair uses the finest
tools and components to ensure trouble-free use. Each solder joint is tested
and inspected and heat-shrink and hot-melt glue are used to stabilize wiring
connections.
Each
conversion is plug-n-play - No external wiring required! Component removal
instructions can be found in our Knowledge Base to assist customers.
